Heatshrink components (e.g. heatshrinkable sleeves and molded parts)
Production process of heatshrinkable sleeves consists of four main phases:
COMPOUNDING: mixture of main ingredients according to our own recipes formulated to guarantee the desired chemical and physical properties.
EXTRUSION: production of a uniform polyolefin sleeve.
CROSS-LINKING: Irradiation process to improve the molecular structure of the polyolefin.
EXPANSION: during this phase the cross-linked sleeve is heated up, stretched, and cooled down to obtain the wanted dimension of the component.
Production process of our resin consists of three main phases:
PREPARATION OF THE BLEND: the production process starts with metering the ingredients and mixing them at a specified stoichiometric ratio.
TREATMENT OF THE BLEND: this part of the process is carried out in controlled environment to obtain an homogeneous blend and to remove any undesired impurity.
PACKAGING: the resin is packed in proper transparent bag designed to keep separate the two pre-measured components by means of a plastic divider. The transparent bag is then placed into a multi-layer foil bad to protect against humidity.
Our qualified technicians design joints and terminations in compliance with the international specifications, developing solutions, bills of material and assembly instructions.
The production process is divided into three phases:
DESIGN: The design is based on specific requests provided by the customer. Based on these requests, the accessory (joint or termination) is “sized” and “dressed” on the cable. The final result is the issue of a bill of material and a drawing reporting the assembly instructions of the accessory.
TESTING: it is the consecutive mandatory step. Each accessory is installed on specific cables and in our high voltage, in accordance with international standards IEC, CENELEC, IEEE, ASTM.
ASSEMBLY: once a project passes test, it is manufactured into a kit, resulting from the assembly of the components defined by the bill of material.
